"My super light weight ash and rw/maple necked RS old Friend 'esquire' Fabulous guitar.
Through my Greer Thunderbolt 30, Scumback Speakers and a relic drive and ghetto stomp pedals. Boss DD3 for a little slap back delay."
-Mykkus

"Greer Amps (Nick Greer Exp, Designs) Relic Drive pedal demo. Tubescreamer esque, much less midhump, better low and high end. Through a brand new, out of the box Greer M65 Speaker with my ash RS Guitarworks Esquire, loaded with a Don Mare Tweed Monster - Modified to 'El Black Crowe' Rich Robinson tone. GREAT rig. Camera loses some lows sadly, but it's pretty close to what it sounds like in the room."
-Mykkus
"Running into the Scumback loaded 4x12 with the Cam18. Great amp with thick mids and lows, but chimey high end that doesn't quite come through in this vid (forgive the clams..LOL I always just play off the cuff). Fender Hotrod thinskin 52 tele, but i had a 2tek bridge installed, and a Don mare Stelly neck pickup (stratty-type tones) and Don Mare Underwound Supersport bridge pickup.
Really a great country and clean rig, funk, some rootsy rock. Takes pedals well too. And a nice solid tele that sings after the upgrades. Even with my clams! LOL"
-Mykkus
"Greer amps "Ghetto Stomp" through a Cam18 amp and 4x12 scumback loaded cab.
2tek bridge Hot rod Telecaster with don mare pickups.
Nick's 'Tweed and Valco' tones in a pedal. Great little rig!"
-Mykkus
"Nick Greer Exp. Designs / Greer Amplification Burning Goat overdrive. Thunderbolt 30 amp, Greer speaker, RS Guitarworks Esquire with a Don Mare Modified Tweed Monster. great sounding overdrive."
-Mykkus
"** Please note that this amp has a reconed speaker and may not sound like one you have, or one you are selling ;-) **
1948 McKinney tube amp - demo
Here's a 1948 McKinney amp made by Valco in Chicago. This is the same as a Supro Supreme of the same era with the single volume control and 6J7 input tube. Other tubes are 6SC7, (2) 6V6GT, and 5Y3.
Speaker is the 10" field-coil Rola (pro-reconed by Nick at the Speaker Shop).
Demo is done with a parts Stratocaster with Don Mare pickups, then a Les Paul with P90 pickups.
Amp was set to about 80% volume.
The rear of the amp is shown at the end of the video.
(Note: I added the audio to the video for better sound quality as the camera mic is not very good.)"

"Traynor yba-1a combo telecaster aluminum don mare 0038 evm-12l maxon 820. I think the neck pickup in wired on as well its agfs lil puncher but the Don Mare is incredible one of my favorite pickups and I am a humbucker guy usually but this rocks. Hollow aluminum tele body early 70's neck..."

I think the neck pickup in wired on as well its agfs lil puncher but the Don Mare is incredible one of my favorite pickups and I am a humbucker guy usually but this rocks. Hollow aluminum tele body early 70's neck. Dont like covers and will not play originals for clips so random noodling it is"

"fender solid state amp, tokai strat alder .9 gauge, mambalaw overdrive!"
-israelael
"Guitar instrumental
Equip. used:
1981 Tokai Silverstar strat ('68 Reissue 4-bolt version) with Don Mare pickups, late '60s Vox Wah, DOD Overdrive Preamp FX50, Danelectro Chicken Salad (modded), Electro Harmonix POG and Alesis Nanoverb plugged into a 1971 Marshall Super Bass 100w, 1970 Basketweave cab with 25w pre-rola greenbacks.
Amp's volume set to 7. Master volume (Lar/Mar PPIMV) is set somewhere below 1. So the overall volume is actually really low. Filmed with a Canon IXUS400. That camera could not handle more volume at that distance plus it stopped recording after 3min for some reason."

Southern Ill Planksters Model "E"
Pinebody
Don Mare Super Sport

1) Dirty Clip using what would be the mud setting on a Esquire which,
I did a "Quata' Cocked Wah" mod..........
Amp is a DR Z Galaxie cranked..........It ain't traditional country fo' sure.

Clicky for clip > http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8616163

2) Same setup but stomped on the Holy Grail Revereb and,
I'm using the middle position with the tone and volume backed off a little bit.........

Clicky for clip > http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8623849

3) Here is the first time I fired up the Red Model "E" and sent out,
a clip to the purchaser.............simply plug straight into the,
DR Z Galaxie and just letting some open flat picked chords ring out
............the Don Mare Super Sport is so easy to get a bunch of,
cool tones very easily.......great for many types of music.

Clicky for soundclip > http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8611259

I got a 0038 Lapsteel set and 3 speed Sting Ray builds coming.......
along with a offset T-master coming which I believe I'll do the ,
Tweed Monsters or a Rich Robinson wind for Don.

The guitars
:
A thin skin '62 Strat reissue that I bought from Dave's a couple of years ago.
Besides the Don Mare pickups, I had previously had an RS upgrade kit installed.

For comparison, I also recorded the same licks through the same amp with,
all the same settings using a US-made 1990 '62 reissue Strat that still has,
the stock pickups and pots.

Amp:
A '71 Lead-stickered Marshall Super Bass, re-amped
(using the line out of a Hotplate) through a Pacemaker PM 10 and an,
Avatar 1x12 with a Celestion Blue. The reverb is provided by a,
Tube Works RT-921 reverb between the Marshall and the PM10.

The clip:
I run through all five pickup settings on the Don Mare-equipped Strat,
and then do it all again with the stock Strat. Here are the times in,
the clip when each setting starts:

Don Mare Strat:
0:00 Neck pickup
0:41 Neck/middle
0:59 Middle
1:23 Middle/Bridge
1:45 Bridge
